This Friday, March the 7th, Sigur Rós will be taking over the front page of YouTube for the day. The band will take over all twelve slots on the site’s home page and the centrepiece of this will be “Heima” in full. this is the first time a full-length music documentary is available to view on YouTube.
EDIT: Here’s the full Heima vid, which is quite stunning. I recommend the intro/”Glósóli”; “Olsen Olsen” (33:25); “Gítardjamm” (48:00); “Vaka” (55:00); and, of course, “Popplagið” (1:19:00). But you should watch the whole thing.
Gosh, I wish the sound quality did it justice. I have the DVD if you wanna borrow it.
