Blah-loween

I’ve spent all evening doing work and halfway watching basketball. This is my third Halloween in New Hampshire, and I have yet to get a single trick-or-treater here. I guess that’s what I get when I live in apartments that basically scream: “WE’RE NOT GOING TO HAVE GOOD CANDY.” That being said, I do have some very nice peanut butter Hershey’s kisses. Yum.

In the midst of typing away, I put together a 2 1/2-hour Halloween radio show. It’s not necessarily scary (except for one gem from Scott Walker’s The Drift—the scariest CD ever), just vaguely menacing. I’ll run it all week except during regular show times.

Favorite Halloween costume: today in our student union building, I saw a guy dressed up as half Ryan Philippe / half Reese Witherspoon. It was quite ingenious, although he forgot to acknowledge the Jekyll-and-Hyde nature of Reese’s chin.

On a campus of 14849, I found Waldo today. This acheivement has made my halloween. I wonder if that’s a world record?

As for not getting any trick-or-treaters, I think it might be that whole - not trusting strangers with candy - thing.

What *is* that anyhow, in the Scott Walker song? Some sort of homicidal Donald Duck? It scared the shit out of me.

    Hahaha.

  4. Jenn:

Not the best pic, but it was taken from at least 30 ft. with a cell phone, and then cropped on the comp. But that right there, is Waldo.
Kept searching, but the wizard and the scroll were just too hard to find.

  5. Jenn:

ahh! it wouldn’t show my pic! what did I do wrong?

Uh, I’m not sure if Wordpress allows images in the comments. Not sure how to change that. But you could link to it.
