Today I introduced Tom Newkirk to Urban Dictionary (we were discussing Geoffrey Sirc’s “‘What is Composition…?’ After Duchamp,” which mentions the site). Tom clicked around until he found a few entries he liked.
I had to wonder whether someone would’ve thought we were having a serious academic discussion if they had walked in and seen us looking at the entry for a barrel full of smashed assholes.

I’ve loved Urban Dictionary for years. My favorite thing is the sounds — who are all these people calling in to say fo shizzle, anyway?
