Well, we’re just now finishing the interview portion of the 4YW pilot (39 interviews down, 5 to go), and what we’re discovering is just how pervasive instant messaging is among first-year students. They IM friends and family. They IM down the hall. They IM across the room. They IM on a boat, in a coat, with a goat.

Maybe they’d like to have one of these babies. Why tie yourself down to a computer?
